JMBFX Studio is internationally recognised as one of Australia’s leading Makeup Effects Studios, highlighted in 2023, during Awards Season, with an Oscar nomination, a BAFFTA win, Critics Choice Award win and an ACCTA win for the Prosthetic Makeup Effects on Elvis.

JMBFX Studio has been based in South East Queensland going on 35 years. Comprising of a fully equipped, 500 2m Facility, 10 minutes from the Warner Roadshow Studio.

JMBFX Studio, director, Jason Baird, has had a driven passion for all things relating Monsters and Character Makeups since the age of 11 and has taken his company from strength to strength creating Makeup effects for international blockbusters, Star Wars Episode 2 and the Matrix Trilogy.

JMBFX Studio has designed, produced and created prosthetic effects, props and specialty costumes for local film productions as well as productions nationally and internationally.

Most recently JMBFX  has created Makeup effect, Creatures and Prosthetics for Kong – Skull Island, Thor – Ragnarok, Aquaman, The Fall Guy and Elvis.

Most recently, Jason and the team from JMBFX Studio produced Prosthetics for Mona Zaki , in Director, Marwan Hamed’s Bio Pic, El Set, about the Life of Egyptian Singer, Umm Kulthum.
