For 20,000 Leagues we produced 2 section of the giant octopus used in the telemovie.
The first section was a quarter section of the head. The second section was one of the eight tentacles.

The sections were sculpted in water clay, fibreglass moulds were produced and the sections were cast in silicone. Being so large, the head 4mx 2.5m & the tentacles 7m, it was just as well we shot
the creature in a 5 metre deep dive tank. The head was puppetered from behind & the tentacle was operated by 4 neumatic cylinders.
